Mechanical and Manufacturing Technologist
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily shop production along with developing and improving processes. Ranging from shop scheduling, managing inventory, monitoring equipment and machinery, Health and Safety member, you will be responsible for completing multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications to be a Mechanical and Manufacturing Technologist:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- proficiency in Auto-cad and Solidworks or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- willingness to learn and grow
- Education and/or experience in Manufacturing
- professional English - written and spoken
- Mandarin/ Cantonese an asset

Plant Manager
Job Description:
As a manufacturing plant manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of high-quality products. You will manage a team of supervisors, leads and technical workers, coordinate with various departments, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and reduce costs while maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Management
Collaborate development and execute production schedules while ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Monitor production output and quality standards to meet customer specifications and company goals.
Implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of products.
- Team Leadership
Lead and motivate a team of supervisors and production staff.
Set clear goals and objectives for the team and provide guidance to achieve them.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to enhance productivity and development.
- Resource Management
Manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Health and Safety Compliance
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure proper training and equipment for all employees.
Investigate and address any safety incidents or concerns promptly.
Support Plant inspections
- Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to streamline operations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing plant.
- Quality Assurance
Monitor product quality through regular inspections and testing.
Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards and customer satisfaction.
- Address any quality issues or customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Research & Development
Participate in new development projects
Building prototype assemblies and jigs.
Researching new equipment types
Attending R&D meetings
Qualifications to be a Plant Manager:
- Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Experience in a manufacturing leadership role, with a strong understanding of production processes and management principles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings or training.
